FINRA Electronic Fingerprint Submissions
How does FINRA use my fingerprints for background checks?
FINRA, in its capacity as a federal-level Authorized Recipient, partners with the FBI to perform an in-depth background check based on the fingerprints provided. In most cases, your firm will receive the results of this check within 72 hours from the time of your fingerprinting appointment.

How do my fingerprints get sent to FINRA?
As an approved Electronic Fingerprint Submission (EFS) provider, PrintScan sends your fingerprints directly to FINRA in an electronic format. If you opt for the manual method using FINRA's fingerprint cards, it's crucial for your firm to send them to FINRA. Please note that fingerprint cards sent by Authorized channelers like PrintScan are not accepted by FINRA.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, such as Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.

What does Bigham's FBI Live Scan do with my fingerprints after scanning?

Bigham's FBI Live Scan ensures that fingerprint cards and fingerprint images are not retained beyond 30 calendar days post-receipt or upon the successful execution of the transaction, whichever timeframe is shorter. All fingerprint data is meticulously destroyed/deleted, adhering strictly to the FBI CJIS Security Policy.

How comprehensive is a FINRA background check?
